Pre-employment Checks

 

UNSW undertake pre-employment checks for certain ‘high risk’ positions to ensure that we appoint the right person to the position. These checks cover verification of academic qualifications, criminal records, medical assessment and working with children.

Verification of qualifications is required for all academic positions and some professional positions.

Should you be required to undertake a confidential pre-employment check you will be notified by HR after your interview and advised of the process and you will be required to complete a consent form. 

If you are informed that you are required to undertake a pre-employment check, this will form a part of your employment conditions.
